Bassist extraordinaire Richard Cousins has been a regular member of Philipp Fankhauser from September 2002 to November 2008. He is returning to join forces with Robert Cray, after levaing his band in 1990.

Hailing from Oakland California, Richard Cousins is a veritable icon. He has worked with an endless array of legendary Blues performers. He's best known for being a founding member of the original Robert Cray Band with whom he had tremendous success throughout the eighties. "False Accusations", "Strong Persuader" an "Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark" where multi awarded best selling albums. In the early nineties Cousins was the most sought after Blues bassist and can be heard on Clapton's "24 Nights", Van Morrison's "Too Long In Exile", all three comeback albums of John Lee Hooker, B.B. King's "Playing with my friends" and many more.
