Since November 2003 Philipp Fankhauser has been in contact with the Consulate General of Switzerland in Chicago. In conjunction with the Swiss Club of Chicago, the Lucerne Committee Chicago Sister Cities International Programs und the Swiss-American Business Council he gets broad support for his two concerts in Chicago June 12th and 13th.

On the other hand, the Swiss cultural foundation Pro-Helvetia , who has a mission from the Swiss government to develop Swiss music and culture abroad, has stated in their written response to Philipp Fankhauser dated March 30th 2004: "The scarce means of the foundation do only allow the support of projects, that have been deemed innovative and qualitative high standing by the foundation's council".
